Appliance-world, a kitchen appliances retail e-shop, addressed to Holbi to refine their website in order to increase the traffic and conversion rate as well as facilitate a product search for the customers.
A 30-year-old company, about 20 years of which have been in the appliance market, required a fresh look to their ‘face’ on the Web, better availability for buyers in terms of product information and actual shopping capabilities. Meanwhile, Holbi’s expertise in ECommerce was a perfect solution for all these challenges, and so we got down to work.
We started from design by turning it around to a user-friendly layout where all the items are easy to find and relevant info is logically set. Then we adjusted the product lists by increasing their visibility allowing for potential buyers to compile a list of as many products as possible and by comparing different parameters select the ‘winner’.
We also introduced additional functionality that significantly eased the actual buying process.

We’ve extended products description to help customers immediately order the exact number of goods that they require without wasting their time on response awaiting.
On the product info page we provided a new effective way to advertise the products around Google users (basically most Internet users) and broadened warranty options contributing to more security in customers’ choices.
Delivery section has been improved, allowing the actual return of the goods.
We’ve enriched buying procedure with a discount option for acquiring a few items at a time - needless to say how price reduction usually boosts buyers’ interest.
Best selling items and guides are now enlisted in product categories menu, that’s prompting customers which brands are the most trusted by other consumers and provides potential buyers with important details on selected appliance brand.
Form fields in the Checkout area were put together in a single convenient column and it now takes less time to complete the order.
As a result of Holbi’s efforts in optimizing usability, which is apparently leading to more effective buying, Appliance-World increases its profits daily. The proof of these achievements is such facts as time spent on the website increased by 300%, bounce rates decreased by 25%, Facebook fans number grew from 900 to 40,000. Ultimately, blog added to increase brand engagement and repeat visits to website boosted website traffic.
