Swindon, Wiltshire, 12th of September 2011 – Spare2you – a supplier of appliance spares and accessories- launches their website with a new design.
Back in 2006, when the online version of Spares2you store was just being started, they came to Holbi for a standard osCommerce website. It was a simple yet effective solution that would help bring profit on spare parts selling. Once the website was completed, it would be constantly supported by Holbi throughout years to come.
Within a year growing sales resulted in the increased demand for a more complex e-commerce solution that would include a user-friendly design, easily accessible checkout, as well as better descriptions of product and category pages. At the same time it was expected for the website to become more visible in search engines and get more efficient in terms of ROI and conversion rate through its Google Adwords account. So, in 2008 Holbi design and development team improved the website usability (e.g. new logic of presenting manufacturers was now working – top manufacturers with the most goods were now shown first on the site), Organic positions and paid traffic having optimised Spares2You Google Adwords account. Google Base was introduced to the store and optimised accordingly. More payment and shipping methods were added in order to increase the conversion rate. New SEO& Usability modules had been integrated into the system (most of them were created for this project and used by Holbi on other projects as they proved to work successfully). Last but not least, synchronisation of the product stock with the largest retailers was implemented.
Thanks to the efforts described above the sales of the store significantly grew: in the time period between July 2007 and July 2011 they have increased by 345%. Within the same time range the website traffic has increased by 234% while the number of Google organic visitors grew by 647%. Even the E-commerce conversion rate demonstrated a significant growth of 58%.
‘At the end of 2005 we decided to look at putting our retail spares and accessories onto the Internet, but where does one start? We found Holbi on an Internet search and made contact. They laid out a proposal on how they could help us with the e-shop that we were looking for. From proposal to current day we feel we have had value for money with outstanding support and quick actions when needed. They are open to suggestions and give constructive feedback to requests for changes. I feel we will have a long team working relationship in this expanding and sometimes bewildering business’, said Martin Hobbs, Managing Director of Margin Services, the parent company of www.Spares2You.co.uk, as he started working with Holbi 5 years ago.
Later Mr. Hobbs adds, ‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the excellent services that you are currently offering us. Before we asked you to look after our SEO and PPC campaigns, we were spending twice as much as we are now on the pay per click and our natural listings were poor. We have noticed a steady climb up the listings with some of our products like Miele vacuum spares appearing at position one. You have given us a much better understanding on the format and layout of our site which has helped greatly, and with orders on the increase. I look forward to a long working relationship. You have been very responsive in requests and have given a lot of feedback and suggestion in all areas of our site.’
Spares2you.co.uk had been set up to meet with the large demand for online spares and accessories for a host of vacuum cleaners like Miele spares, Sebo spares, Numatic spares, Dyson spares etc.. Working from their retail shop on the south coast they started offering a same day dispatch for vacuum spares in 2006 and also began selling security products like Timeguard spares. The store then introduced finished good like Roberts Radios along with Roberts spares. Spares2you are also one of the main suppliers of Simplex kettles in the UK.
